The Deep South’s Oldest RivalryAuburn vs. Georgia. It began on February 20, 1892 at Piedmont Park in Atlanta. Since 1898, the Tigers and the Bulldogs have played every year, with the exception of 1943 when Auburn did not field a team because of World War II. The rivalry has spawned another tradition, the "Burn the Bulldogs" parade, which takes place the week before the Auburn - Georgia game. Fraternities, student groups, ROTC and others all work to build floats for the parade. This is followed by a huge pep rally.
