ALUM Scholarship Recipient
Bailey Taylor
Hometown: Hoover, AL
What made you choose to come to Auburn?
I grew up coming to the football games, since both my parents graduated from Auburn. There was no other choice for me.
How has receiving the Alumni Scholarship impacted your life?
It has made the money load on my parent’s much easier and helped me achieve my goal of coming to Auburn University.
What has been your best experience at Auburn so far?
My best experience has been the activities put on my the UPC, such as the LIVE/Collective Soul concert and Jim Gaffigan in person. All the events are so fun.
What would you say to a high school student from your area who is considering coming to Auburn University?
Auburn is a great place. Coming from a large school where a lot of students end up coming to Auburn, some may think you will see them all the time. That is not true. I have made so many new friends, and almost never see any of my high school friends. So if being with too many of the same people is a problem, do not worry about that. Auburn really does become a family in itself, and so many things go on during the week, and weekend, that there is always something fun going on.
What do you think off when you hear?
Auburn Spirit: Football game, everyone coming together to support one thing
Auburn Family: Everyone knowing everyone, when out in the real world after college, Auburn alums still stick together
War Eagle: WARRRRRR EAGLE! HEY!! The major greeting on campus
Alumni Association: give scholarships and put on different activities, such as the Shrimp Boil
What clubs/activities are you a part of?
Circle K
