2010 MAIN Birmingham End-of-Summer Picnic
& MAIN Atlanta Picnic in the Park
Alumni, friends and families gathered in Atlanta and Birmingham to celebrate the Auburn family and enjoy a very hot summer. Both picnics were catered by BBQ restaurants owned by local Auburn Alumni. Re-connections and new acquaintances were the highlights of the day along with give-aways for everybody and special drawings took place for donors to the Alumni PLUS scholarship, which directly benefits minority students attending Auburn, as well as for those who are members of the Auburn Alumni Association. Thank you to all who attended! We hope to see all of you - and many more - next time.
The Auburn Alumni Association sponsors 2 Alumni PLUS Scholarships through the Provost Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship (PLUS) program. The PLUS program is coordinated through the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs and focuses on scholarship and retention of minority students. You can make donations to support the Alumni PLUS scholarships by sending your check, made payable to AUBURN UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION. In the memo line indicate ALUMNI PLUS SPENDABLE and send it to:

Why do you contribute to the Alumni PLUS Scholarship benefiting minority students?
“When I was an undergrad student, I received many scholarships from individual contributors in addition to grants that allowed me to graduate free of student loans. I often wondered what drove those contributors to donate to someone they didn't even know. Now, as an alumna, I believe that desire to give is fostered by a yearning sensation to see [our] Auburn scholars graduate and represent Auburn University well throughout the country. I have grabbed the baton of contributing to the educational development of current and future Auburn Tigers by donating to the PLUS fund. I challenge all alumni to do the same.”
