Incoming freshmen must meet the December 1 freshman scholarship priority deadline and have a 24-29 ACT or 1090-1320 SAT score and a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Auburn Club Scholarships

With close to 100 Auburn Clubs throughout the country, alumni have the opportunity to participate in various fundraising activities either directly for their local club scholarship or toward the association’s endowed scholarship.

In 2011-12, 58 Auburn clubs contributed more than $350,000 toward student scholarships. Qualifications for Auburn Club Scholarships vary with each club. Most are based on financial need and/or academic qualifications.

Auburn Club Scholarships are awarded by the Office of University Scholarships. To receive consideration, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Priority consideration is given to incoming freshmen who meet the December 1 freshman scholarship priority deadline, to transfer students who have a minimum 3.5 cumulative transfer GPA and meet the February 1 application for admission deadline, and to current students who have a minimum 3.5 cumulative, unadjusted Auburn GPA. Priority consideration is also given to students who have not previously been recognized with a scholarship valued at resident tuition or greater. Auburn Club Scholarships are awarded competitively in early April at an average of $1,500 for one year based on available funding, and consideration does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded. Alumni Association Scholarships Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is the scholarship renewable?

A. The scholarship is for one year only – it is not renewable

Q. Is there an application to fill out?

A. There is no scholarship application to be completed. As long as the student is admitted and has paid all necessary admission fees by December 1 of the year prior to enrollment and meets the scholarship criteria, that student will automatically be in the pool of eligible for the scholarship.

Q. Is there something special I need to do to be considered?

A. Regarding the admission application, the student must indicate on that application that the parent/guardian is an alumnus and provide the parent's name and address.

Q. What is the selection process?

A. In preparation for awarding the scholarships, the Office of University Scholarships provides the Office of Alumni Affairs with a list of parent/guardian names and addresses for those students who meet the academic criteria. Alumni Affairs checks the parents for life membership in the AAA and returns the list to the Scholarship Office with life members noted.

Q. Who makes final selections?

A. Based on those eligible students, the Office of University Scholarships makes all selections.

Incoming students who may qualify for an Auburn Alumni Association endowed scholarship should contact AU's Office of University Scholarships at 334-844-7570 for additional information.
