Minority Alumni Involvement Now (MAIN)

Upcoming Events

Come Join the Fun and Serve the Community in an AUsome Way!

The Auburn Family is committed to serving the needs of those less fortunate in our local communities. Therefore, the MAIN (Minority Alumni Involvement Now) program has chosen to support Brantwood Children's Home with a much needed Collection Drive during the month of September 2014. Since 1917, Brantwood Children’s Home has been providing a safe, stable and structured environment for abused, neglected or other at-risk children. More than a program or a place to live, Brantwood is truly a home and family for young people in desperate need. Brantwood provides a place for the heart to heal, and important relationships to blossom. The Brantwood staff encourages the children to help one another, to rely on each other for friendship and support, and to build a true sense of camaraderie, much as any siblings would provide for each other. The mission of Brantwood Children’s Home is exclusively non-profit and is to operate in the best interest of the community while serving dependent, neglected and/or abused children by providing for and supervising their education, health and social adjustment into the community.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Brantwood's Campus, located at 1309 Upper Wetumpka Road Montgomery, Alabama 36107. So please, let's unite and join forces to give back to those less fortunate. I look forward to seeing all of our AUsome Auburn Alumni there on September 20th! If you are unable to join us there, but would like to donate items or make a donation, please contact Barbara Wallace Edwards via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. Why do you contribute to the Alumni PLUS Scholarship benefiting minority students?

"When I was an undergrad student, I received many scholarships from individual contributors in addition to grants that allowed me to graduate free of student loans. I often wondered what drove those contributors to donate to someone they didn't even know. Now, as an alumna, I believe that desire to give is fostered by a yearning sensation to see [our] Auburn scholars graduate and represent Auburn University well throughout the country. I have grabbed the baton of contributing to the educational development of current and future Auburn Tigers by donating to the PLUS fund. I challenge all alumni to do the same." — Kristi N. Garrett ‘97
