MAIN Community Service

Come Join the Fun and Serve the Community in an AUsome Way!

The Auburn Family is committed to serving the needs of those less fortunate in our local communities. Therefore, the MAIN (Minority Alumni Involvement Now) program has chosen to support Jerusalem House with a much needed Collection Drive during the month of July 2014. Jerusalem House provides 60% of the permanent supportive housing designated for Atlanta’s homeless and low-income population with HIV/AIDS. The Atlanta MAIN Community Service Event will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 10:00am - 1:00pm. We need all hands on deck, to come and bring your donated items, and/or to come volunteer your time to collect the items donated by others. It’s time to put on your Auburn colors, load up the family, and bring your much needed items (see attached listing) to Atlanta on July 26th! Stay tuned for the drop off location!

Why do you contribute to the Alumni PLUS Scholarship benefiting minority students?

"When I was an undergrad student, I received many scholarships from individual contributors in addition to grants that allowed me to graduate free of student loans. I often wondered what drove those contributors to donate to someone they didn't even know. Now, as an alumna, I believe that desire to give is fostered by a yearning sensation to see [our] Auburn scholars graduate and represent Auburn University well throughout the country. I have grabbed the baton of contributing to the educational development of current and future Auburn Tigers by donating to the PLUS fund. I challenge all alumni to do the same." — Kristi N. Garrett ‘97
