2007 Pamela Wells Sheffield Award Recipient

Carolyn Reed Rebecca S. Hatcher, president and owner of Hatcher Design Associates in Birmingham, is the recipient of the 2007 Pamela Wells Sheffield Award for service and commitment to Auburn University. The award was presented during ceremonies Sept. 1 at AU’s home football game against Kansas State University.

Hatcher graduated from Auburn University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and is a member of the AU College of Architecture, Design & Construction’s executive campaign steering committee. She also serves on the university’s Research Advisory Council and participated in the 2005 Innovation and Business Partnership Forum. A member of AU’s inaugural Lady Tiger basketball team from 1969-72, Hatcher served on the boards of the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham and Girls Inc. of Central Alabama. She and her husband, Everett, live in Mountain Brook.
