Minority Achievement Nominations Sought

The Office of Alumni Affairs seeks nominations to recognize outstanding contributions toward the advancement and inclusiveness of minorities at Auburn University.

This award honors an individual of any race or ethnic background whose efforts have attracted minority students to AU and/or whose efforts have contributed to the success, retention and graduation rates of minority students at AU. Additionally, this award honors an individual who has contributed to improved race relations and fostered a sense of community within the university. The recipient will be presented $1,000 and a plaque at a recognition ceremony in the fall of 2010.

Nomination packets may be submitted by any department, institute, college, or individual. The packet must include appropriate documentation, including a letter from the dean and/or department head detailing the nominee’s efforts to enhance minority relations on campus. Letters and comments from students and colleagues are encouraged. The nomination form should accompany the nomination packet. Send letters to:
