Career
My very first job was taking orders and cleaning tables at Hardee's. From there, began climbing the career ladder: to stock clerk at a convenience store, file clerk at a dentist's office and popcorn jockey at a movie theater. After high school . . . newspaper reporter, trade magazine editor, university PR writer, freelance writer, etc. Most recently completed a stint as assistant director for media relations and publications for Georgia State University before moving to the Plains in March 2005.

Dream vacation
Four nights in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and tickets to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show.

Hobbies/interests
Architecture, interior design, disco and reality television.

A half-empty can of Diet Dr. Pepper and a copy of "Football for Dummies."
